It is with immense sadness that I record the sudden death of George Mowbery following a short illness.
George had been in Bonsai for over 40 years, with an exceptional background in horticulture, his accrued knowledge was immense only equalled by his generosity of heart and spirit.
A normal day for George would find him out in the garden or greenhouse by 6 am. cultivating cuttings or re potting trees, his garden, though not huge, was immaculately kept, always bursting with colour and manicured lawns and vegetables to lust after. It was once said of George that given a broom handle he could get it to root and sprout branches!
George's life revolved around his family who were very dear to him and his late wife Barbara. A man of steadfast religious faith, one of life's true gentle people.
George, you're forever in our hearts and thoughts.

I am still shocked by this unfortunate news. George has been an inspiration to me, having only know him a relatively short time.
Good Bye George
There is no pain so great as the memory of joy in present grief, It's sad when someone you know becomes someone you knew.
